These Terms of Service govern your use of RE.

By using RE, you agree to these Terms.

1. What RE is

RE is a student marketplace that helps UK university students buy, sell and exchange second-hand items within university communities.

RE provides a platform for users to create listings, browse items, communicate with other users, and arrange transactions directly.

2. RE is not a party to transactions

RE is a marketplace platform only.

ORYON LTD is not a buyer, seller, broker, payment provider, escrow provider, delivery provider, or agent for any user.

Transactions are arranged and completed directly between users.

Users are responsible for:

• Checking item condition
• Confirming item ownership
• Agreeing prices
• Arranging collection or delivery
• Making or receiving payment
• Resolving transaction issues directly

RE does not guarantee that any item will be available, genuine, lawful, accurately described, safe, or suitable for your needs.

3. Eligibility

RE is designed for UK university students.

To use RE, you must:

• Provide accurate account information
• Use an email address that you control
• Complete university verification where required
• Have the legal capacity to use the service
• Follow these Terms and all applicable laws

We may refuse, suspend or terminate access if we believe an account is inaccurate, unsafe, fraudulent, or not eligible to use RE.

4. University verification

RE may require users to verify their university affiliation, including through a university email address.

Verification helps create a more trusted student marketplace, but it does not guarantee that a user is trustworthy, safe, honest, or legally entitled to sell an item.

Users must still use their own judgement when buying or selling.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for your account.

You must:

• Keep your login details secure
• Provide accurate information
• Not impersonate another person
• Not create accounts for fraudulent purposes
• Not allow others to misuse your account
• Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised

6. Listings

When you create a listing, you must ensure that:

• The item exists
• You have the right to sell it
• The description is accurate
• The photos are accurate and not misleading
• The price is clear
• The item is legal to sell
• The item is not prohibited under these Terms

You must not create fake, misleading, duplicate, fraudulent or unlawful listings.

7. Prohibited items

You must not list, sell, request, promote or exchange prohibited items on RE.

Prohibited items include:

• Alcohol
• Tobacco
• Vapes or e-cigarettes
• Weapons
• Prescription drugs
• Illegal drugs
• Counterfeit goods
• Stolen property
• Adult products
• Illegal digital content
• Exam answers or academic cheating materials
• Unsafe products
• Recalled products
• Financial products or services
• Any item that is unlawful, restricted, unsafe, misleading, or inappropriate for a student marketplace

We may remove any listing at our discretion if we believe it breaches these Terms or creates risk for users or RE.

8. User content

You may upload content to RE, including profile photos, listing photos, descriptions and messages.

You retain ownership of content you upload.

By uploading content to RE, you grant ORYON LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, publish, distribute and use that content as needed to operate, promote, moderate and improve RE.

You confirm that:

• You own the content or have permission to use it
• The content does not infringe anyone else’s rights
• The content is accurate and lawful
• The content does not contain harmful, abusive, offensive or illegal material

9. Messaging

RE may allow users to communicate through in-app messaging.

You must not use messages to:

• Harass, threaten or abuse others
• Send spam
• Attempt fraud
• Share unlawful content
• Pressure users into unsafe transactions
• Circumvent RE’s safety systems
• Send offensive, discriminatory or harmful material

We may review messages where necessary to investigate reports, prevent abuse, enforce these Terms, or protect users.

10. Payments

RE does not currently process payments.

RE does not hold money, provide escrow, guarantee payment, process refunds, or manage deposits.

Users agree payment methods directly between themselves.

You are responsible for ensuring that any payment arrangement is safe and lawful.

11. Meeting and collection safety

Users are responsible for arranging safe exchanges.

We recommend that users:

• Meet in public places where possible
• Prefer campus or well-lit public locations
• Avoid sharing unnecessary personal information
• Inspect items before paying
• Do not send money in advance unless they accept the risk
• Stop the transaction if anything feels suspicious
• Report suspicious behaviour to RE

12. Reports and moderation

Users may report listings, messages or accounts.

We may investigate reports and take action including:

• Removing listings
• Warning users
• Restricting accounts
• Suspending accounts
• Terminating accounts
• Preserving information for safety or legal reasons
• Reporting serious matters to relevant authorities where appropriate

We are not required to monitor all content before it appears on RE.

13. Fair use

You must not misuse RE.

You must not:

• Use RE for illegal purposes
• Scrape, copy or harvest data
• Interfere with platform security
• Upload malware
• Attempt to access accounts or systems without permission
• Use automated tools without permission
• Create fake accounts
• Manipulate listings, reviews or reports
• Use RE in a way that harms users or the platform

14. Future paid features

RE is currently free to use.

In the future, ORYON LTD may introduce paid features, including but not limited to:

• Advertising
• Promoted listings
• Subscription features
• Commission-based services
• Premium tools for sellers

If paid features are introduced, additional terms may apply.

15. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that RE will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

We may update, suspend, restrict or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

16. Disclaimers

RE is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ORYON LTD does not guarantee:

• The accuracy of listings
• The quality or safety of items
• The honesty or reliability of users
• That a transaction will complete
• That disputes will be resolved
• That the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ORYON LTD is not responsible for losses arising from:

• User-to-user transactions
• Misdescribed items
• Failed payments
• Unsafe meetings
• User behaviour
• Fraud by users
• Loss of data
• Service interruptions
• Third-party services

Users are responsible for their own decisions when buying, selling or communicating through RE.

18. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe that:

• You breached these Terms
• You created risk for other users
• You used RE fraudulently
• You listed prohibited items
• Your account information is false
• We are required to do so by law
• Your continued access could harm RE or its users

You may stop using RE at any time.

19. Privacy

Our use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

By using RE, you acknowledge that we process personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may notify users through the website, app, or email.

Your continued use of RE after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
